As a mentor, you have a profound network and proven expertise in your industry. You know the current trends and future developments in your professional field and your well-founded assessment of the current job market will help you to make decisions in connection with recruitment. As a mentor, you ideally work in your company at a higher management level (department or division management) or in a management position in Human Resources and communicate directly and respectfully.
We match the areas of origin of our mentors as closely as possible to the search areas of our job seekers. We are currently mainly looking for mentors from the following sectors: Finance, IT, telecoms, consulting and construction, as well as industry, graphic design and research.
Mentoring in professional fields that are particularly affected by the shortage of jobs and skilled workers offers both sides particularly great opportunities.
What does your commitment look like?
The commitment as a mentor is voluntary and unpaid.
- You decide which job-seeking specialist or manager you would like to support as a mentor and have direct contact with the RAV specialist responsible for you.
- Ideally, you will be in contact with your mentee four times over the course of three months – by telephone, in person or in writing (approx. one hour per month).
- You support the mentee in positioning themselves successfully on the job market. Together you will reflect on and optimize existing job search strategies.
